The research track focuses on helping students develop analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset. Students take courses in research methodology and statistics, and conduct hands-on research with our talented HRM researchers.
This track emphasizes how to conduct scholarly research in order to prepare students to become top researchers in the hospitality industry.
Advantages include the opportunity to study advanced statistics at one of the top research institutions in the United States and to work side-by-side with our own researchers, as well as those in other departments such as food science, sociology, tourism and business.
Courses
The research track requires a minimum of 30 credit hours. Most full-time students complete the program in two years if no prerequisites were required.
Students under this track are required to write a thesis upon graduation.
