The entrepreneurship track focuses on developing analytical skills but has a strong emphasis on nurturing innovative entrepreneurial skills.
Students take analytical and general business courses and gain hands-on experience with outstanding local entrepreneurs through the University's Small Business Development Centers.
Students in this track learn how to start and sustain a successful hospitality business through collaboration with the Small Business Association, local entrepreneurs and other academic programs at the University.
Courses
The entrepreneurship track requires a minimum of 36 credit hours. Most full-time students complete the program in two years if no prerequisites were required.
Students under this track are not required to write a thesis upon graduation. The culmination of this choice is an innovative entrepreneurship paper that involves research applied to a hospitality business or situation.
